Relationally-oriented psychologist in Perth & online
Relational therapy is immediate, alive, and sensitive.
It gets to the essence of how we relate to ourselves and others—to address difficulties from low mood and anxiety through to recurrent relationship patterns, complex trauma, and entrenched personality difficulties.
I offer a relational approach which emphasises the unfolding relationship between client and therapist. This approach is particularly well-suited for those seeking deep and lasting change as well as relief from emotional symptoms.
Tailored treatment for persistent and complex difficulties
My approach centres on helping people understand and transform the deep relational patterns that shape how they experience themselves and others. Together, we explore the underlying structures that influence your sense of self, relationship satisfaction, and emotional life. The work develops its own momentum, becoming richer and more rewarding over time.
This approach is particularly helpful for those with longstanding difficulties—highs and lows of emotional experience, shifting identity and self-worth, dissatisfaction or volatility in relationships, and difficulties connecting with others. It suits those seeking a sustained and intentional process of discovery and change.
Therapy for children, parents and carers
Child psychotherapy is a specialised field, distinct from adult therapy—it requires comprehensive grounding in developmental theory and practice across the lifespan, including infancy and early childhood.
I offer Mentalisation-Based Treatment for Children (MBT-C), an attachment-informed, play-based relational approach specifically developed for children along with their parents & carers.
MBT-C is readily adapted for neurodivergent children, children with communication issues, and children expressing challenging behaviours. For under-fives, I offer dyadic therapy with parents & carers as participants in the room.
